Revenue is generated by selling cloud storage account packages. The three packages sold are designed to be priced in a certain way and contain certain features that provide infinite combinations and possibilities, while also staying simple as choices are made.

Half of the website traffic comes from Google organic search results and the other half from referrals. It is approximately a 50/50 split. Approximately 70% of the paid subscriptions come from referrals and 30% come from organic. Some of the referrals are from Top Ten Reviews, tech and cloud storage blogs, Yahoo Answers, company blog and social media activity and other review sites (and in May the referral will include Serchen.com) Free account signups are about 90% organic traffic and 10% referral.

Expense Details


Day to day maintenance includes one Management person (overseeing daily operations and sales & marketing) and one Technical Person (current owner who oversees web development, server maintenance and general product enhancements); plus 10 regular contractors that work to maintain, support and improve the product and service. (Proven systems are in place which makes it easy to run at a very low cost and there are no official employees.) a. 2 support people handling daily tech support demands (email and calls) and basic sales inquiries. This can be continued in the present way or outsourced to an agency with sufficient training on the system. b. 2 Sales and Marketing people establishing relationships with customers and helping with marketing campaigns, research, list compilations, promo email blasts etc. c. 3-4 developers to maintain applications and website, fix reported bugs and make improvements to features, UI, access, etc. (Can be sourced to others or an agency with learning curve.) d. Server Admin who makes sure everything is running and responds to outages and breakdowns 24/7. Can also be responsible for physical equipment testing, replacement and upgrades. (A server admin can maintain the server equipment at the data center, whichever data center it may be relocated to). e. AP/AR person to keep track of all financials. (Currently done by the owner and his wife, but can easily be delegated to others.) f. Part time misc help includes a designer for occasional graphics work, SEO person to boost web rankings and traffic, blog writer and a document writer for user manuals and app documentation. (All of this combined accounts for less than $1k per month of our expenses.)
